Dits del Terra is where Terroir al Límit began: the first cuvée Dominik Huber and Eben Sadie made together, vinified in 2001 in a borrowed corner of the Cims de Porrera cellar — and the vineyard Sadie himself originally worked. The name is the picture: old Carinyena vines like fingers clawing into the slate above Torroja, on the warm, south-facing side of the hill whose shaded twin is L'Arbossar. By 2014 the house had already turned toward what it became known for — whole clusters, infusion rather than extraction, large neutral wood — and this bottle carries that turn in triple measure: a double magnum of the founding wine.
Cellaring perspective
Old-vine Carinyena holds acidity the way Priorat holds heat, and the three-litre format slows everything further. At this age the wine is entering its plateau in standard bottle; in this format the plateau has barely begun. No hurry — the name promises grip, and the format keeps the promise.
