Why this bottle matters
The Vernay name was made in white, and then remade in red. Georges saved the Condrieu appellation; his daughter Christine, who took over in 1996, gave the domaine a second reputation by launching its Côte-Rôtie cuvées — Maison Rouge, which she revived and vinified from 1997, and La Blonde du Seigneur, created in 1998. The estate holds six hectares in Côte-Rôtie out of twenty-four, is certified organic, and replants using massale selection.
Cellaring perspective
La Blonde du Seigneur takes its name from the Côte Blonde, the granitic half of Côte-Rôtie, where the wines are built on perfume and finesse rather than the darker weight of the Côte Brune. It is the domaine's more open Côte-Rôtie rather than its most structured. Syrah from these terraces holds for years, but this one does not demand to be forgotten first.
About this bottle

This Domaine Georges Vernay, Cote Rotie, Blonde du Seigneur 2023 0.75L is held in professional bonded storage with documented custody. Its provenance is recorded from acquisition, the bottle remaining in professional custody, and condition is noted. How is the bottle stored and shipped?
The bottle is kept in temperature-controlled bonded storage and is not moved unless shipping is requested. It is recorded privately, not offered publicly; it can be released through CruTrade on request.
What does the fill level and condition tell you about this bottle?
Condition is read from the fill level (ullage), capsule and label rather than taken on faith. A bottle that has stayed in professional custody since acquisition avoids the usual weak points — heat, movement and broken records.
