Romanée-Saint-Vivant is the summit of this record: a grand cru the family's parcel shares with Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Leroy and Dujac, from vines that count among the estate's oldest. Under Charles Lachaux the domaine became one of Burgundy's most closely followed, and this is the wine where his question is asked of the grandest ground — canopies braided instead of trimmed, whole clusters, infusion, an élevage without oak from 2022.
