This is the village wine from the project's first years, when it answered to two names: La Bruja Avería at home — the witch from La Bola de Cristal, a wink to the founders' Saturday-morning childhood — and La Bruja de Rozas abroad. Old-vine Garnacha from sandy granite around Rozas de Puerto Real, mule-worked slopes, fermentations closer to infusion than extraction, and long rest in large old oak. An early document of the Gredos revival, from before the revival had a name — here in magnum.
Cellaring perspective
At thirteen years, a village Garnacha has said most of what it has to say; the magnum is the reason this one can still be heard. Expect the tertiary register rather than fruit, and open it as what it is: testimony, not projection.
