Las Iruelas is the outlier of the range: the only Comando G wine grown on slate, from a single biodynamic plot of seventy-year-old vines at around 1,000 metres in the Valle de Iruelas above El Tiemblo, ringed by forest and worked by animal traction on the slope. Until 2019 it was Dani Landi's personal wine; from 2020 it joined Comando G — same vineyard, same hands, new name. The 2022 answered a hot year on its own terms: rain at harvest left it finer-boned, two winters in foudre were followed by an extra year in concrete, and fifteen degrees of alcohol never show. 4,522 bottles, filled in February 2025.
Cellaring perspective
Gutiérrez places the 2022 in the line of 2019, 2017 and 2015 — the calmer, earthier register that slate gives against the granite verticality of the other crus. The extra year of élevage means it arrives ready to begin rather than ready to wait: a decade of unhurried drinking, at its own pace.
